Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki is a American political advisor who served as the 34th White House news secretary between 2021 and 222. A member of the Democratic Party, Psaki was previously the White House deputy secretary (2009), White House deputy communication director (2009-2011) as well as spokesperson for the United States Department of State 2013-2015 as well as the White House communications Director (2015-2017). Psaki contributed to CNN's politics coverage of 2017 to 2020. Psaki started her career in 2001 as a political contributor for CNN. She was involved in the re-election campaigns for Tom Harkin (Iowa Democrats) for the U.S. Senate, and Tom Vilsack (Iowa Governor). Psaki then became the deputy press secretary of John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign. Psaki worked as the director of communications for Joseph Crowley in the U.S. and as the regional press secretary for Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. In 2012, Psaki returned to political communications as the press secretary for Obama's reelection campaign for 2012. 20 years ago, Psaki was appointed spokesperson for the United States Department of State in February 2013. [20] It was speculated that she would replace Jay Carney as White House Press Secretary.[21But, Josh Earnest was announced to succeed Carney on May 30 in 2014. She was named Communications Director at the White House and continued to perform this role until the end of 2015.
